Chris Moreton at Rushwick Folk Club Saturday 23rd Feb
Rushwick Folk Club present a concert featuring Chris Moreton, on Saturday 23rd February 2008, starting at 8pm. Venue - Rushwick Village Hall, near Worcester, WR2 5TA. Chris is generally regarded as the leading British flatpicking guitarist. He is legendary at the UK bluegrass festivals, and his material covers a wide range including old time, country, folk and classical. In addition to flatpicking the guitar, Chris is an expert fingerpicker and singer, and he also plays mandolin and banjo. In 1996, Chris was Guitar Player Magazine's Guitarist of the Year. He is a very humerous and entertaining performer, and rarely appears in the Midlands area, so this is an opportunity not to be missed. In 2007 she played the starring role of Elizabeth in the musical play, "Blonde Bombshells of 1943", which toured the UK, singing and playing multiple instruments including saxophone and clarinet. Again rarely performing in the Midlands and not to be missed.
