Scarecrow Festival

An organisation called Rural Media are spending the next year making a movie representing life in Bromyard. The first result is a brief glimpse of the Scarecrow Festival that ran June 7 & 8. It was made by 4 QE pupils, Pete Andrews, Jim Rolte, Adrian and Vey from The Rural Media Company. Here’s a link to the movie:

Of particular interest is the backing music from "Tipsy Jazz", a group of young Bromyard musicians (Remy, Mark and David) who play most Sundays at the Rose and Lion session.

To quote Vey from Rural Media:

Please encourage others (and yourself!) to bring ideas and experiences of Bromyard to the project, through the Photography and Sound workshop this Saturday (21st June) and this Wednesday evening coming is the Open ‘Stories to Film’ Workshop at the Falcon, 7pm. We will be looking at some film ideas that have already surfaced from the other workshops in the town and will be discussing other possible stories.   There will be a follow-up session on the following Wednesday (2nd July) and a hands on film-making session on Wednesday 9th July.
