There is a free concert this coming Thursday as a curtain raiser for the 2010 Bromyard Folk Festival.
It is in the Falcon Mews, the banqueting hall at the back of the Falcon Hotel on Broad Street in Bromyard. Doors open at 8.00, music will stop around 11.30.
Music is from the performers who play at the “Bromyard Sessions” every Sunday at the Rose & Lion and every Tuesday at the Falcon, including Foxtail Soup, the Deadmoney Duo, Al Clearwaters, Loxley, Francis Budden & Dave Evans plus me, Tony Burt with some guest players.
You don’t need a ticket – just turn up on the night. Could get pretty busy so it’s a good idea to arrive in good time.
The bar will offer Wye Valley Bitter and Brain’s Reverend James straight from the barrel along with the usual industrial muck called lager for them who don’t like ale.
Also it’s still possible to get tickets for the whole festival which has an awesome line-up this year – go to http://www.bromyard-folk-festival.org.uk/ for more info or to buy a ticket.
Leave a comment to tell me you’re coming!
