Herefordshire is England’s most rural county having just one small city, and five market towns, Bromyard, Kington, Ledbury, Leominster and Ross On Wye. A higher proportion of the population live in villages and hamlets than anywhere else.

This results in greater attachment to tradition in many ways. Among these is the old practice of meeting in the pub for a singalong which has morphed into the “acoustic music session”. This website aims to list as many of these events as possible to encourage the continuation of a centuries long tradition.
